Biomotum is hiring an experienced Software Engineer to take the lead in developing our innovative wearable robotic user experience. You will work closely with our engineering and design teams to create intuitive, user driven mobile experiences and web applications that interact with our Biomotum Spark device firmware. This position reports to the CTO and Director of Engineering. You will be an integral part of our team, advancing our mission of using rehabilitation robots to improve quality of life.

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Leading all software development activities as a valuable partner with our engineering and design teams, for our exoskeleton user interface software

  • Defining and developing well developed experiences to expand and improve our iOS and Android mobile applications

  • Interfacing with and contributing to real-time C/C++ device firmware

  • Developing cloud databases and web portals/applications to access device data

  • Using your valuable experience to assist in the development of a cohesive API

 

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Experience designing software for medical devices

  • Understanding of design controls and QMS for medical device software

  • Application of a range of wireless communication protocols, BTLE, etc.

  • Experience in robotics or electromechanical medical devices

  • Knowledge of Dart programming language to create Flutter apps

 

Hard Skills:

 

  • B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience (or 2 years with an advanced degree)

  • Experience with Git and demonstrated ability to manage repositories

  • Proficiency in C/C++, iOS, and Android app creation

  • Experience developing iOS/Android user software


Compensation

Salary and equity compensation is commensurate with experience.
